Gibbs smacks DiNozzo on the head. Todd has a snake wrap itself around her foot. DiNozzo nearly gets blown up by a car bomb. Ari nearly kills Gibbs with a bomb under the table. Gibbs tucks Todd in as she sleeps behind her desk. Todd dreams that Ari killed Gibbs. Abby tells Todd that she dreamed of seeing DiNozzo with blood all over his face. (He does in fact end the episode with blood all over his face) DiNozzo mentions that Cassidy's ship is due in and that he has a date with her that night. Ari kills Todd with a sniper rife at the very end of the episode.Poetically, Todd's last act is do what she had trained to do in the Secret Servive, namely dive in front of a bullet to protect someone she was assigned to protect. DiNozzo's last words to her are :"You did good." Todd's last words are "I thought I'd die before I ever heard..."

Like I have said before, I never watched an episode of NCIS until the spring of 2011. I quickly became hooked. One day I mentioned to my father that I had ordered the first seven seasons on DVD and was about half way through Season Two. He casually said, "You know Todd gets killed in the last episode of Season Two?" Needless to say I was pretty pissed at him for spoiling it. After watching the episode for the third time, I can't believe I didn't hear about this episode when it first ran. I mean, come on...ending a season with the graphic death of the lead female character?!? I'll tell you one thing, I am sure glad I had the Season Three discs available to immediately watch the Season Three opener. If I had had to wait months like the first run on TV I would have lost it. I wouldn't exactly call this episode a favorite, but it certainly is one of the most impressive episodes of television I have ever seen.
