Hiatus (Part 2) (70)
Shannon was Gibbs's real first wife, something we are not told about until the final episode of the third season, Hiatus (Part 2). They had a daughter together named Kelly. Shannon and Kelly were killed while Gibbs was fighting in Kuwait because Shannon had witnessed a drug murder by Pedro Hernandez. Gibbs would later kill Hernandez in an act of unsanctioned revenge. Franks was the agent in charge of the case, before he became Gibbs' mentor.
